AI to Calculate Payments for Russian Performers
The new system aims to make royalty calculations for content creators more transparent.

A Russian media group has introduced an artificial intelligence-based system for calculating payments to content creators, the holding’s press service said. The service was developed with the participation of the Russian Authors’ Society. It analyzes speech, music, and broadcast elements automatically and with high accuracy.
Protecting Intellectual Property
The service fully automates broadcast monitoring. Composers and performers can be confident their work is properly accounted for. The solution operates using 205 million digital fingerprints, processes large volumes of data, and generates reports in a clear and accessible format. The system also records every broadcast event, verifies compliance with media plans, and compiles rankings and charts for artists.
The media holding has outlined a broader strategy for transitioning to digital services. AI is already used to create content and analyze audiences. Now neural networks are also being deployed to optimize processes in the protection of intellectual property.
