MTS has launched two new services designed to help children stay in contact with their parents during emergencies. The first is the SOS Button, a widget that allows a child to send an emergency alert and their location to their parents with a single tap. It can be added to a smartphone's home screen through the My MTS app. According to the operator, the feature is particularly useful if a child gets lost or encounters threats, bullying, or fraudsters. It remains available even when the user's mobile account balance is zero or negative.

The second feature, Always Connected, prevents outgoing calls from being blocked when there are insufficient funds in the account. Children receive a 30-day emergency package that includes 20 minutes of voice calls and 20 SMS messages, which can be used to contact members of the family's MTS group. When the balance reaches zero, a parent receives a notification reminding them to top up the account. If the balance is not replenished within 30 days, standard service restrictions take effect. The feature is also available in 12 countries that are popular destinations for Russian tourists.
