A mobile app designed to speed up responses to housing and utilities issues is set to be developed in the Republic of North Ossetia, according to the regional Ministry of Housing, Utilities, Fuel and Energy.

Residents will be able to report a problem or авария, after which the request will be automatically logged in the system and forwarded to the relevant services. The app will also allow users to track the status of their request in real time. Once the work is completed, users will receive a notification and can confirm whether the issue has actually been resolved.

Part of a Unified Platform

The app is being developed as part of a broader effort to build a digital operations center – a unified platform for registering аварии in the housing and utilities sector. Specialists have already created an internal авария tracking system that allows the ministry to see in real time where an incident occurred, who is responsible for fixing it, and at what stage the work currently stands.

A similar approach is already in place in the Moscow region, where authorities have deployed the Inzhenernye seti (Engineering Networks system), a geoinformation platform used to analyze авария situations and plan repair programs. The system acts as a digital twin of the region’s infrastructure and includes an AI assistant that ranks facilities based on technical parameters and social importance. The AI also estimates the cost of repair work.
