AI Monitors Eggs and Staff at Poultry Farm in Russia’s Kirov Region
Digital systems help Sovetskaya Agrofirma modernize production

Sovetskaya Agrofirma, one of the leading egg producers in the Kirov region, has introduced digital monitoring and security systems at its poultry farm. According to the Meatinfo portal, the new technologies have significantly upgraded production processes.
Cameras, Sensors and Biometrics
The facility has installed smart cameras that count every egg moving along the conveyor belt and ensure employees wear proper protective clothing. Working together with intelligent sensors, the video analytics system provides automated oversight of the entire enterprise.
The company has also implemented biometric access control and set up a 24-hour situation center for continuous monitoring. The digital transformation was completed last year, and management says the first results are already visible.
“Implementing the digital project has substantially improved how we manage the enterprise. Processes have become more transparent, and we can respond immediately to even minor operational changes,” said CEO Boris Evdokimov.
AI Reduces Operational Risks
Predictive analytics powered by artificial intelligence now helps detect risks and prevent biosecurity violations. Data from all production processes is displayed on dashboards accessible to staff at any time, contributing to lower losses and reduced costs. Profitability has improved as a result.
The poultry farm has operated since 2001 and supplies products not only within the Kirov region but also to 20 other regions across Russia. In 2024, table egg production increased by 12%, reaching a record 297 million eggs.
Earlier, we reported that the Leto Group, one of Russia’s leading egg producers, is investing 6 billion rubles in a new high-tech poultry farm in the Moscow region aimed at expanding capacity and strengthening food security.
